Research interests and other activities

At the intersection of migration studies and political geography Martin Doevenspeck’s research interests are (forced) im/mobilities, conflict and border studies.

He is currently working on the project ”Oil movements: the production and government of petro-(im)mobilities in East Africa” within the framework of the Bayreuth Cluster of Excellence “Africa Multiple”.

He is spokesperson of the Research Section Mobilities of the Cluster Africa multiple.
